Alex Kudryavtsev (pen name: Alex Russ) is an online course instructor in the Cornell University Civic Ecology Lab. He has worked in environmental education since 1996 in Russia, and completed his MS (2006) and PhD (2013) degrees in environmental education in the Department of Natural Resources, Cornell University. His research focused on urban environmental education and sense of place. Alex co-edited the "Urban Environmental Education Review" textbook (Russ and Krasny, 2017), to be published by Cornell University Press. Alex has published articles in top environmental education journals, traveled all continents observing environmental education programs, and is interested in novel approaches in environmental education that foster environmental sustainability and human well-being. http://ak383.org
