This project aims to enhance ocean literacy through immersive experiences such as virtual dives, workshops, and facilitator training. It additionally seeks to build a network of 500 ocean advocates by 2030, empowering learners to become conservation leaders by highlighting careers in marine science. Diverseas also aligns with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science challenges by fostering a deeper connection between humanity and the ocean. Through collaboration with conservation professionals and educators, the project will offer accessible, engaging learning opportunities, including a prototype course that encourages participants to adopt and plant corals, promoting hands-on conservation efforts. Originating as an educational program for 30x30 Indonesia, Diverseas has expanded to reach global audience.
