On December 6, 2023, GEEP Africa hosted a webinar exploring the challenges facing Africa and how education, social and climate justice, and technology can unlock the potential of Africa's youth and inspire a better future for the continent.
Unlocking the potential of Africa’s youth for sustainable development requires transforming education and building on the culture, resources, and spirit of the continent. We not only need to foster knowledge and skills for sustainability, but also spur innovation through ethical AI, integrate justice and inclusion throughout all aspects of our education systems, and work to ensure that current and future generations can live free of poverty and other obstacles. It also underscores the role of transformative education in the context of the African Union's Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals, shaping a roadmap tailored to Africa’s needs, particularly for its youth.
